How we choose

Romanie is a small edit, not a catalogue. Each category shows no more than 8 items.

What happens before an item appears

• A person opens the retailer's page and checks that the product matches what we describe.
• We write three short notes in our own words: why it was picked, who it suits, and one thing worth knowing.
• The wording is checked for claims we cannot prove, and a person approves it. Later edits do not appear until approved again.

Prices and stock

We show a price only if it was checked in the last 3 days, with the date. Prices and stock change, so the retailer's page is always the source of truth. We do not sell anything ourselves: you buy from the retailer, who is responsible for your order, delivery and returns.

How the site earns money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Earning a commission does not change the price you pay. We do not rank items by commission, and we do not show countdowns or try to rush you into buying.

Software that helps

A rules-based tool helps the team spot gaps, stale prices and items that few people click. It only makes suggestions; a person decides.
